Whistleblowing & HinSchG
Set up and run an internal reporting channel with confidence.
Certified Whistleblowing OfficerThe situation
The German Whistleblower Protection Act requires an internal reporting channel handled confidentially — nobody internally wants the role, and mistakes carry fines.
Since December 2023, the German Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) requires every company with more than 50 employees to set up an internal reporting office. It must receive reports, launch legally compliant investigations and may not dismiss them arbitrarily. Independence, confidentiality and compliance with statutory duties are mandatory — mistakes can lead to fines.
